NOTES:

1. There is a new system in place this year from DIAA for eligibility which includes your child's physical.  Athletic physical forms for the school year 2026-2027 must be dated after April 1st, 2026. The forms are attached. You can also find them linked on the homepage of  www.warriors-sports.com You must have this done by August 17th, 2026 for individuals to participate in Preseason. Please note that Sanford is requiring a specific form this year, do not show up for your appointment to the doctor without this form. Once completed page 1,2 & 3 must be uploaded to Magnus Health and page 3 must be uploaded to Rank One. Additional information is available to assist with this process and will be sent out separately. 

2. Please contact the head coach directly if you have any questions regarding the preseason. The preseason letters for each program will be emailed to all those signed up. 

1. Tuesday, August 18th, we will have our fall parent meeting with the upper school coaches in the Geipel Auditorium starting at 6:00 pm (6:00-7:00). This night is set up for you to meet the upper school coaching staff.

As we gear up for summer please print the document linked here, Sanford Physical Form 26-27, these three pages will work as your physical for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This year you will have to upload the documents to magnus health for the school nurse as well as the last page to Rank One a new platform that the DIAA is requiring every school to use this year to determine eligability. We will be sending out more information in the next few weeks regaurding this new process. Please contact Regan Jones with any questions reguarding the physical jonesr@sanfordschool.org

If you have had a physical within the last 15 months you may take the Athletic Physical form for this upcoming year (2023-2024 school year) to your physician and get it resigned until your next appointment. Athletic physical forms for the school year 2023-2024 must be dated after April 1st, 2023.  You will then download the forms on the Magnus Health SMR website and the directions for this will be provided. You must have this done by August 14th, 2023 for individuals to participate in Preseason. Please note that the DIAA physical forms must be used. Forms can be downloaded from the DIAA website, Sanford MyHub or link is located on the main page of warriors-sports.Com.

Athletic Department Update

Welcome Sanford families to the 2022-23 school year. I ask that you take a moment to sign up for the scheduling alerts. This will allow your family to receive notifications as in real time from the athletic department.The warrior-sports.com website will allow you as a family to organize your student’s schedule throughout the fall, winter and spring. 

 

 

Preseason is heading into week 3 and I would like to take an opportunity to thank the coaches for all their hard work and dedication to their programs. I would also like to thank the operations department for maintaining our fields… absolutely the best. Our focus as in years past will be on sportsmanship. We appreciate everyone’s passion and competitive spirit and want to make sure all our athletes, coaches and fans represent the best of Sanford on the field and on the sidelines. Our fall captains attended a leadership retreat in conjunction with Wilmington Friends this past Thursday that focused on the qualities of being a “leader”. We examined and discussed the role captains play not only for their sport but for Sanford as a whole. 

We look forward to seeing everyone on the fields, courts and trails this fall. Go warriors!!!
